Hi, I’m Robert, founder of Cloqua. As an industrial designer and patented inventor, I’ve always loved creating products that solve real problems—but sometimes, the best ideas come from unexpected places.

Like many people, I struggle to stay hydrated. The idea for the Cloqua Water Watch came after I bought a prank toy—a fake cricket from Amazon—that drove my house crazy with random chirping. It was annoying but effective. I thought, What if it wasn’t as annoying and could remind me to drink water instead?

I quickly made a prototype with the toy and a flexible band I printed on my 3D printer. After testing it—it worked! That’s how the Cloqua Water Watch was born: a simple, easy-to-use device to help you stay hydrated.

Today, Cloqua is available for everyone. It’s affordable, easy to use, and made with upcycled fabric and molded parts from used water bottles, all packaged on FSC-certified recycled cardboard.
